Headshot Pro: Privacy Policy

1. Introduction

Welcome to Headshot Pro (published as "Headshot Pro – AI Photos" on the Apple App Store and "Headshot AI" on Google Play; "we," "us," or "our"). We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application (the "App"). Please read this policy carefully. If you do not agree with its terms, please do not use the App.

Privacy is at the center of Headshot Pro. The App works without an email address, name, or phone number, and we never request any permission that is not needed to provide the service.

2. Summary

• We do not use facial recognition and we do not collect biometric data. See Section 4, "Face Data".
• Your photos are used for one purpose only: generating the portraits you request. They are never used to train AI models, never used for advertising, and never sold.
• Photos are stored in private, access-controlled storage in the European Union and are accessible only from your account.
• You can delete your generated images in the App at any time, and you can request deletion of all your data by emailing us.

3. Information We Collect

a. Photos and Generated Images

• Photos You Provide: To generate AI portraits, you upload photographs of yourself (and, for two-person styles, of the second person you choose to include). We use these photos solely as a visual reference to create the AI-generated portraits you request ("Generated Images").
• Portrait Variant: When you pick a style, you choose a portrait variant (for example male, female, or couple). This choice is used only to show you fitting styles and to compose your requested portrait.

b. Custom Prompts

If you write your own style description ("custom prompt"), the text you write is processed by an automated AI safety check before generation, and a record of that check is kept for abuse prevention. Only the text you typed is processed this way — never your photos.

c. Account and Purchase Data

• Anonymous Account: The App creates an anonymous account with a random identifier. We do not collect your name, email address, or phone number.
• Purchase Information: Payments are processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play). We never see or store your payment card details. We store transaction identifiers, purchased products, credit balance, and subscription status so we can provide what you bought.

d. Technical and Usage Data

• Device Information: Device model, operating system version, an install-scoped identifier used to prevent abuse of free credits, and — if you enable notifications — a push notification token.
• Usage Data: Pseudonymous analytics about how the App is used (screens viewed, features used), tied to the anonymous account identifier, so we can improve the App.
• Crash Reports: If the App crashes, we receive technical crash reports to identify and fix bugs.

We explicitly do not collect your name, email address, phone number, contacts, or precise location.

4. Face Data

No facial recognition, no biometrics. Headshot Pro does not perform facial recognition and does not collect biometric identifiers. We never extract face geometry, faceprints, or any biometric template from your photos, and we cannot identify individuals from them. The photographs you upload naturally contain images of faces; we use them solely as a visual reference to generate the stylized portraits you request. No other use is made of them: they are never used to train AI models, never used for advertising, and never sold.

Storage. Uploaded photos and Generated Images are stored in private, access-controlled cloud storage hosted by Supabase on servers located in Frankfurt, Germany (European Union), and are accessible only from your account.

Sharing. To fulfil a generation request, your uploaded photos are made available to our AI image-processing provider, fal.ai, through secure, time-limited links, solely so the image model can produce your requested portraits. fal.ai automatically and permanently deletes its copies of request media within 30 days. Your photos are not shared with any other third party.

Retention and deletion. Uploaded photos remain in your private storage while your account is active, so you can re-use them for new portraits without re-uploading. Generated Images remain in your private gallery until you delete them in the App, which permanently removes the image files from our storage. You may request deletion of all your photos and data at any time by emailing info@katialabs.com, and we will complete the deletion promptly.

5. How We Use Your Information

• Generate the AI portraits you request, using the photos you provide.
• Operate your credit balance, purchases, and subscriptions.
• Notify you when your Generated Images are ready, if you have enabled notifications.
• Keep the service safe: screen custom prompts, prevent abuse of free credits, and investigate misuse.
• Monitor and analyze usage trends (pseudonymously) to improve the App.
• Diagnose and fix technical problems and crashes.
• Respond to your support requests.
• Comply with legal obligations.

We do not use your photos or Generated Images to train AI models, and we do not use any of your data for third-party advertising.

6. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell or rent your personal information, and we do not share it for advertising. We share data only with the service providers below, only to operate the App:

• Supabase (hosting, database, and storage): stores your account data, photos, and Generated Images on servers in Frankfurt, Germany (EU).
• fal.ai (AI image processing): receives secure, time-limited links to your uploaded photos and produces the Generated Images. Its copies of request media are automatically deleted within 30 days.
• Anthropic (AI safety): receives the text of custom prompts you write (never your photos) to screen them for safety before generation.
• RevenueCat (purchase management): receives purchase receipts and the anonymous account identifier to manage your credits and subscriptions.
• Amplitude (analytics): receives pseudonymous usage events tied to the anonymous account identifier. It never receives your photos.
• Google Firebase (notifications and crash reporting): processes your push token to deliver notifications, and technical crash reports.
• Apple / Google (payments): process your purchases under their own terms; we never receive your payment card details.
• By Law or to Protect Rights: We may disclose information if required to respond to legal process, investigate violations of our policies, or protect the rights, property, and safety of others, as permitted or required by applicable law.

7. Data Retention and Deletion

• Uploaded Photos: Kept in your private storage while your account is active, so you can re-use them for new portraits without re-uploading. Deleted upon request (see below).
• Generated Images: Kept in your private gallery until you delete them in the App. Deleting an image in the App permanently removes the image files from our storage.
• Copies at Our AI Provider: fal.ai automatically and permanently deletes its copies of request media within 30 days.
• Purchase and Credit History: Retained for accounting, fraud prevention, and to restore your purchases, for as long as required for those purposes.
• Usage Data and Crash Reports: Retained pseudonymously for as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy, or as required by law.
• Full Deletion on Request: Email info@katialabs.com at any time to have all your photos, images, and account data deleted. We will complete the deletion promptly.

8. Data Security

All data is encrypted in transit (TLS). Photos and Generated Images are stored in private buckets protected by per-account access rules — no other user can access them, and public links are never created for your photos; the App accesses them only through short-lived signed URLs. While we take these protections seriously, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on your jurisdiction (including under the GDPR if you are in the European Union), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal data. Because we collect almost no directly identifying information, these rights primarily concern your photos and Generated Images:

• Deleting Generated Images: Delete them directly in the App at any time.
• Deleting Everything: Email info@katialabs.com and we will delete all data associated with your account.
• Notifications: You can turn notifications on or off in your device settings at any time.

10. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed at children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

11. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes are effective when posted on this page, and the "Last updated" date above will reflect the latest revision. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
